INDIGENOUS LANGUAGE INSTITUTE SYMPOSIUM
Conquering Challenges In Native Language Work
October 22-23, 2012
Albuquerque, New Mexico

WHAT: Two-day symposium on effective ways to conquer persistent challenges that hinder efforts to produce Native language speakers. The GOAL of this symposium is to convene community language experts, linguists, teachers, parents and learners to share useful information.

WHO: This symposium will benefit language teachers and learners, language program administrators and staff, language activists, parents, Native American youth/young adults. There will be ample time and opportunity for networking among the participants.

HOW: The symposium topics will be organized into 40-60 minute presentations. There will be no concurrent sessions, allowing attendees to participate in all sessions. Ample networking opportunities will be provided during the symposium and at the banquet on Tuesday evening.
