Job: Associate Coordinator of Language Instruction, American University

The Department of World Languages and Cultures in the College of Arts and Sciences at American University invites applications for a one-year renewable position as Associate Coordinator of Language Instruction as a Professorial Lecturer beginning fall (August) 2013. Applicants should hold a PhD in Applied Linguistics, Second Language Acquisition or a modern foreign language; have a minimum of three years experience coordinating language programs; have a minimum of three years teaching language at all levels; demonstrate native or near-native fluency in a foreign language, preferably Spanish or French; possess knowledge of computer-integrated language learning methods, a demonstrable service orientation, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
